There are just a handful of known ways that can genuinely have a measurable impact on one's business, and we have to say that preselling is one of those methods. The "pre" before the selling part is what this is about, and it is a form of mental conditioning or positioning.

One effective way to achieve this is to use an expert testimony or review where an industry expert gives feedback about the product that you're preselling. People really like that kind of social proof because a lot of times they are just waiting for a good reason to proceed with the sale. If possible, and this is an "if," try to locate anything that is helpful in some way but written by people and posted online. You could and should be able to use the testimonials on the main product page, but be sure to ask for permission before doing that. A testimonial exists for a reason, and that is why you should make every effort to find something you can safely use - meaning you ask and do not just take it. Anymore, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is coming down hard on IMers and affiliate marketers for essentially lying about things like testimonials, etc. But all issues aside, these approaches can take your preselling to another level in which they become extremely effective.

It is a known fact among experienced marketers that your choice of product to promote will figure in heavily with your success. You need to feel confident yourself about the product you're promoting before you go ahead and presell it to your target audience because if you're not comfortable then it will show up in your presell. Everything is affected for most people including even having the motivation to get up and do the work to even market the product. There is no perfect product, and so look for something that could be better with what you are marketing, and then mention that in the presell copy. Your prospect shouldn't feel like he/she has been cheated after making the purchase.
